Have you ever seen the site "Candyboots"? It's more 70s than 50s, but man, is it hilarious. It's weight watchers recipe cards from that era with incredibly funny commentary from the blogger. I kill myself laughing every single time I look at them. Most look slightly less appetizing than the casserole pictured above.

They ALL contained a bag of marshmallows and a kilo or two of Velveeta "cheese" - oh, and a bottle or two of Miracle Whip just to blend it all together. You would have loved it!
